Our Wildlife Club is a fun, hands-on club where children can discover the fascinating world of animals, insects, birds and plants. Through outdoor exploration, creative activities, games, investigations and wildlife-themed challenges, children will develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

The club encourages children to become wildlife explorers, observing nature carefully, asking questions and discovering how different animals and plants live and interact with their environment.

πŸ“š What learning takes place?

Wildlife Club supports learning across science, geography, environmental education, art and personal development.

Children will learn about living things, habitats, food chains, life cycles and adaptation. They will explore how animals and plants are suited to their environments and how different species depend on one another.

Through wildlife investigations, children will develop important scientific enquiry skills, including observing carefully, identifying similarities and differences, classifying, recording findings and asking questions.

Children will learn about biodiversity and conservation, including why wildlife is important and how human activity can affect habitats. They will explore simple ways people can help protect local wildlife.

Outdoor activities encourage children to develop observation, spatial awareness and sensory awareness, while wildlife crafts provide opportunities to develop creativity and fine motor skills.

Children will also develop communication and teamwork skills through group investigations, discussions and challenges. They will learn to share observations, listen to others and work together to solve problems.

Most importantly, the club encourages children to develop a respectful and caring attitude towards wildlife, understanding that animals and plants should be observed without causing harm or unnecessary disturbance.

Wildlife Club provides children with the opportunity to discover the amazing wildlife that can be found all around us. From tiny insects and colourful birds to plants, trees and fascinating animal habitats, every session offers something new to investigate.

πŸ’· Fee: Block bookings are Β£6.25 per week or ad-hoc bookings are Β£7.00 per session


πŸ“Œ Spaces: Limited spaces available – early booking is recommended.

Activities will vary throughout the year and will be adapted to suit children's ages and abilities. All outdoor activities will be appropriately supervised, and wildlife will be observed safely and respectfully.
