๐Ÿ“š What learning takes place?

Slime Club provides opportunities to explore science, maths, creativity and practical skills.

Children will learn that slime is created when ingredients interact to produce a material with different properties from the starting ingredients. They will explore how changing quantities or ingredients can affect the texture, stretchiness, thickness and behaviour of the slime.

Children will develop early scientific enquiry skills by making predictions, following a method, observing changes and discussing their results.

There are also opportunities to develop maths skills, including measuring quantities, comparing amounts and following ratios or simple recipes.

The sensory nature of slime encourages children to explore texture, movement and physical properties, while creative activities allow them to experiment with colour and design.

Children will develop problem-solving skills by investigating what happens when a slime mixture doesn't turn out as expected and considering how it might be adjusted.

Working together also supports communication, cooperation, turn-taking and teamwork.

๐Ÿงช Science has never been so much fun!

Slime Club gives children the chance to get hands-on with science while creating colourful, stretchy and exciting slime. With different recipes, textures and themes to explore, every session offers something new to mix, make and discover!
