Our Painting Club is a fun and creative club where children can explore different painting techniques, styles and forms of art in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Each session gives children the opportunity to experiment with colour, texture, shape, pattern and different artistic techniques. Children will be encouraged to develop their own ideas while learning about a variety of artists and styles.
Whether they are creating a colourful landscape, painting a portrait or experimenting with abstract art, every child will have the opportunity to express themselves and create something they can be proud of.

📚 What learning takes place?
Painting Club provides opportunities for children to develop their artistic, creative and practical skills.
Children will learn about colour theory, including primary and secondary colours, colour mixing, warm and cool colours and how different colours can work together.
They will explore artistic concepts such as line, shape, form, texture, pattern, tone, contrast and composition. Children will learn how these elements can be combined to create different effects and moods.
Painting activities also develop fine motor skills, hand control and coordination, while more detailed artwork encourages concentration and patience.
Children will learn to make creative decisions about brushes, colours, materials and techniques, developing their independence and confidence.
The club also introduces children to different forms and styles of art, helping them understand that artists can express ideas in many different ways. They will have opportunities to look at and take inspiration from different artists and artistic movements.
Children will develop as they experiment with techniques and work out how to achieve the effect they want. They will learn that artwork does not have to be perfect and that experimenting, making mistakes and trying again are all part of the creative process.

💷 Fee: Block bookings are £6.25 per week or ad-hoc sessions are £7.00 per session
📌 Spaces: Limited spaces available – early booking is recommended.
Painting projects, subjects and techniques will vary from session to session and will be adapted to suit children's ages and abilities. All materials will be provided.
