Pass, move, shoot and score! 🏐⭐

Our Netball After School Club is a fun and energetic club where children can learn and develop their netball skills while enjoying games, challenges and teamwork in a friendly and supportive environment.

Children will have the opportunity to develop their passing, catching, footwork, shooting and movement skills, while learning how to work together as a team and understand the basics of the game.

🏐 What activities might we do?

Sessions may include:

  • 🏐 Passing practice – chest passes, bounce passes and overhead passes.

  • 🎯 Shooting practice – learning how to aim and shoot accurately.

  • 👣 Footwork activities – practising landing, pivoting and changing direction.

  • 🔵 Ball-control games – developing confidence with the ball.

  • 🏃 Movement and getting free – learning how to create space.

  • 🤝 Partner passing challenges.

  • 🎯 Target shooting challenges.

  • 🚦 Stop, turn and move games.

  • 🏃 Relay races with a netball twist.

  • 👥 1v1 attacking and defending challenges.

  • 🧠 Decision-making games – choosing when to pass, move or shoot.

  • 🏆 Skills circuits – completing different netball stations.

  • ⚡ Reaction and quick-movement games.

  • 🤝 Team passing challenges.

  • 🏟️ Small-sided netball games.

  • 🏆 Mini matches and friendly tournaments.

🏆 What challenges might we complete?

Children may take part in challenges such as:

  • 🎯 Shooting accuracy challenge – score as many successful shots as possible.

  • 🏐 Passing challenge – complete a set number of accurate passes.

  • ⏱️ Timed dribbling and movement challenges.

  • 👣 Footwork challenge – practise controlled landings and pivots.

  • 🏃 Get-Free Challenge – find space while avoiding a defender.

  • 🤝 Team passing challenge – work together to move the ball around the court.

  • 🧠 Tactical challenges – decide the best way to attack or defend.

  • 🎯 Target challenge – pass or throw the ball into different targets.

  • 🏆 Skills circuit challenge – complete a series of activities.

  • 👥 Team games – put skills into practice in a fun match.

  • 🥇 Personal best challenges – encourage children to improve their own performance.

📚 What learning takes place?

Children will learn the fundamental skills and principles of netball, including passing, catching, shooting, footwork, movement, attacking and defending.

They will develop an understanding of basic rules and learn how to move safely and effectively around the court. Games encourage children to think about space, positioning and decision-making, helping them understand when to pass, where to move and how to support their teammates.

Netball also provides valuable opportunities to develop gross motor skills, including coordination, balance, agility, speed and spatial awareness.

Team activities help children develop communication, cooperation and leadership skills, while challenges encourage perseverance and resilience.

Children will also learn the importance of fair play, respect, taking turns and positive competition, including how to respond appropriately to both winning and losing.

Whether your child is new to netball or already enjoys playing, Netball After School Club provides a fun and supportive environment where children can develop their skills, make friends and enjoy being active.

💷 Fee: Block bookings are £6.25 per week or ad-hoc bookings are £7.00 per session.
📌 Spaces: Limited spaces available – early booking is recommended.

Activities and games will be adapted to suit children's ages, abilities and experience levels.
