📚 What learning takes place?

Bingo provides a fun way for children to practise important mathematical and cognitive skills.

Number bingo can help children recognise numbers quickly and accurately. Depending on the activity, children may practise counting, number sequences, addition, subtraction, multiplication, shapes, patterns and simple mathematical problems.

Children will also develop listening and concentration skills, as they need to listen carefully to the caller and identify the correct number, picture, letter or clue.

Matching activities encourage visual discrimination, memory and recall, while clue-based games encourage children to think carefully about information and work out the correct answer.

Bingo also supports important social and emotional learning. Children practise turn-taking, following agreed rules, waiting patiently and celebrating others' successes.

Playing as a group encourages communication and social interaction, while friendly competition can help children develop resilience and learn that winning and losing are both part of playing games.

🏆 Prizes and Rewards

To add to the excitement, there may be opportunities to win small prizes, tokens, certificates or other rewards during selected games.

Rewards may recognise not only winning but also great listening, excellent teamwork, positive participation and effort, helping to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to feel successful.
