📚 What learning takes place?

Card games provide a fun way for children to develop a wide range of academic, thinking and social skills.

Many games involve maths and number skills, including counting, comparing numbers, recognising sequences, adding and subtracting and understanding probability in an age-appropriate way.

Children will develop logical thinking and problem-solving as they work out which cards to play, remember previous moves and develop strategies to improve their chances of success.

Memory games support concentration, observation and recall, while games involving multiple players encourage children to communicate, listen and respond appropriately.

The club also provides valuable opportunities to learn about rules, fairness, patience and sportsmanship. Children will practise taking turns, respecting other players and dealing positively with both winning and losing.
