Our Tie-Dye Club is a fun, hands-on creative club where children can explore colour, pattern and design while learning how to create their own unique tie-dye creations.
Children will learn different folding, twisting, scrunching and tying techniques to produce a variety of colourful patterns. They will discover how the placement of ties and folds affects the final design and enjoy the excitement of revealing their finished creations.
Every child's design will be different, making this a fantastic opportunity to encourage creativity, experimentation and individuality.

📚 What learning takes place?
Tie-Dye Club provides opportunities for children to explore art, design, textiles, science and practical skills.
Children will learn how different folding, twisting and tying techniques affect the way dye reaches the fabric. This introduces simple ideas about cause and effect, encouraging children to make predictions and then compare them with the finished result.
They will explore colour theory, including primary and secondary colours, colour combinations, contrast and blending. Children can experiment with what happens when different colours meet and overlap.
The activity also supports mathematical thinking through patterns, symmetry, repetition, shapes and sequences.
Handling fabric, folding, tying and manipulating materials helps develop fine motor skills, coordination and hand control.
Children will also develop their ability to follow instructions, work carefully and safely, plan a design and make independent creative decisions.
The club encourages children to understand that there is no single "correct" design. Experimentation and unexpected results can often create some of the most interesting artwork!

Tie-Dye Club is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore colour and textiles while creating something completely unique. From colourful T-shirts and bags to creative fabric artwork, children will enjoy watching their ideas come to life.
💷 Fee: Block bookings are £6.25 per week or ad-hoc bookings are £7.00 per session
📌 Spaces: Limited spaces available – early booking is recommended.
Items and projects will vary from session to session. Tie-dye activities will use suitable, child-appropriate materials and will be fully supervised. Children should wear suitable clothing for creative activities, as dyes may stain.
