πŸ“š What learning takes place?

The club provides lots of learning opportunities through practical, Minecraft-inspired activities.

Children will develop design and technology skills by planning, designing, constructing and evaluating their creations. They will learn how to think about the materials they need and how different pieces can be joined together to create a strong and effective model.

Construction challenges encourage problem-solving, logical thinking and perseverance. Children may need to work out why a structure isn't standing, how to make it stronger or how to modify their design to meet a particular challenge.

There are also opportunities to develop mathematical skills, including counting, measuring, recognising shapes, exploring symmetry, creating patterns and working with grids during pixel-art activities.

Creative activities support fine motor development, concentration and attention to detail, while team projects encourage communication, cooperation, sharing and listening to others.

Children will also develop their ability to plan, test, adapt and improve their ideas, learning that mistakes are a normal and valuable part of the creative process.
