Horrible Histories Club supports children's history, literacy, creative and social development through engaging activities.

Children will learn about different historical periods, people, cultures, events, inventions and ways of life. They will explore how people lived, worked, travelled, communicated and entertained themselves in different periods.

Activities encourage children to develop an understanding of chronology, helping them recognise that events happened at different points in time and understand how the past has influenced the world today.

Children will also develop their research, questioning and observation skills by examining clues, discussing historical evidence and making deductions about the past.

Crafts, role-play and practical challenges provide opportunities to develop fine motor skills, creativity and imagination, while quizzes and team games encourage communication, listening, cooperation and memory.

Most importantly, children will learn that history isn't just about remembering datesβ€”it is about people, stories, discoveries, choices and understanding how the world has changed.
