📚 What learning takes place?

Children will learn what mindfulness means and explore simple ways of paying attention to the present moment.

Through breathing and relaxation activities, children will learn techniques that can help them pause, focus and relax. They will explore how breathing, movement and stillness can affect how their bodies feel.

Mindfulness activities also encourage children to develop self-awareness, helping them recognise and describe different feelings and physical sensations.

Yoga-inspired movement supports physical development by improving balance, flexibility, coordination, strength and body awareness.

Children will also develop important social and emotional skills, including patience, listening, self-control, confidence and respect for others.

The club encourages children to understand that it is okay to take a moment, slow down and use positive strategies when they need some calm time.
