Our Cake Decorating Club is a fun, hands-on club where children can explore the creative world of cake decoration while developing practical skills, creativity and confidence.
Children will learn how to decorate cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats using a variety of techniques, colours, patterns and decorations. The club provides a wonderful opportunity for children to experiment with their own designs and create something they can be proud of.

📚 What learning takes place?
Cake decorating provides opportunities for children to develop skills across food preparation, art, design, maths and personal development.
Children will learn about measuring, quantities and following simple recipes, helping them develop practical numeracy skills. They will practise accurately measuring ingredients and comparing different quantities where appropriate.
The decorating process supports fine motor development, as children practise squeezing piping bags, spreading icing, placing decorations and creating small details.
Children will explore colour theory, pattern, shape and design, learning how different colours and decorations can be combined to create an attractive finished product.
Following instructions helps develop listening, sequencing and organisational skills. Children will learn to complete tasks in the correct order and work carefully.
The club also encourages creativity and problem-solving. Children may need to decide how to create a particular design, how to fix a decorating mistake or how to adapt their ideas to the cake they are working on.
Working alongside others develops communication, sharing and teamwork, while completing a cake from start to finish helps children develop patience and a sense of achievement.

Cake Decorating Club gives children the chance to combine creativity with practical food skills. From colourful cupcakes and seasonal treats to imaginative themed designs, children will have fun learning how to turn simple cakes into something special.
💷 Fee: block bookings are £6.25 per week or £7.00 for an ad-hoc session
📌 Spaces: Limited spaces available – early booking is recommended.
Activities and decorating projects will vary from session to session and will be adapted to suit children's ages and abilities. Appropriate food hygiene and safety procedures will be followed. Please ensure the club is made aware of any relevant food allergies or dietary requirements before your child attends.
